No injuries in plane crash at Elser Airport

NORTH LIMA — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating an airplane crash at Youngstown Elser Airport.
The crash happened around 12:25 p.m. Saturday.
A 2010 Lance Air ES-P had taxied onto the runway and was applying speed in preparation for takeoff when the single-engine aircraft suddenly pulled to the left and taxied off the left side of the runway, striking a metal light box. The plane continued over a taxiway and came to rest in a field.
The pilot, Christopher Tornello, 70, of Youngstown, was not injured. There were three other occupants who were also not injured.
