Police activity reported May 3-15:

May 15, 3:54 p.m. — Theft reported at 100 N. Main St. after residents told police they came across a TikTok that listed a home in the 400 block of East Wilson Avenue for rent for which they sent $1,600 to an account and then learned the home was not for rent.

May 14, 6:51 p.m. — Criminal mischief reported after a resident in the fifth block of Emma Street believes juveniles in the neighborhood have damaged solar panels on his property by someone throwing rocks at them.

May 13, 5:19 p.m. — Resident of 703 Trumbull Ave. reported theft of a firearm by a former acquaintance.

9:19 a.m. — Neighbor dispute reported at 336 Forsythe Ave. after a resident told police a neighbor made rude comments to them while in their backyard.

May 11, 2:37 p.m. — A man was found lying on his back on the pavement by his vehicle in a driveway at 300 Elruth Court. The man was checked and taken by ambulance to the hospital. A school bus filled with children drove by the scene.

10:25 a.m. — A dog was running loose near the corner of Washington Avenue and Churchill Road. The owner of the dog did not have the dog on a leash.

2:09 a.m. — Unwanted person reported at 310 Elruth Court after a woman told police an ex-boyfriend was banging on her door trying to get in and threatening to shoot the lock on the door.

May 10, 11:17 a.m. — Deceased woman reported at 425 Idaho Ave. after a relative of the woman found the body. The medical examiner was contacted.

12:02 a.m. — A resident at 420 Lawrence Ave. reported being assaulted after someone entered her home uninvited. The resident also reported a burglary. A neighbor saw a male with a red hoodie running to a truck parked in front of the house.

May 8, 11:14 p.m. — Domestic flight reported at 35 E. Wilson Ave. after a resident saw two neighbors in a driveway intoxicated and being loud. Police spoke to two people who said they were arguing.

May 7, 1:51 p.m. — Harassment reported at 100 N. Market St. after a woman told police she had received harassing messages on social media.

1:31 a.m. — Fight reported on Anderson Morris Road after three women and a man were arguing outside their vehicles parked near the Girard Lakes spillway. One woman told police she was assaulted.

May 5, 11:27 p.m. — Investigation conducted on Mill and Byers streets after railroad ties on the Norfolk Southern tracks were on fire. The fire department arrived to put out a small brush fire.

8:15 p.m. — Dog bite reported at 63 E. Wilson St. after a woman was bitten by a dog after getting out of her car to stop two people in an altercation.

May 3, 11:36 a.m. — Vehicle that was reported stolen at 313 S. State St. was found on a Flock camera system coming into the city from Niles.
