WEATHERSFIELD — A weekend fire destroyed an engine repair shop in Weathersfield.

A Trumbull County 911 spokesman said fire crews received a call at 11 p.m. Friday of a fire at Hamrick’s Diesel Repair on South Main Street with Weathersfield and Niles fire departments responding.

Reports state that when crews arrived, the building was fully engulfed and there were burning tires and trucks on fire outside the building. Officials said there were no injuries, but the building was destroyed.
