Woman refuses medical attention after being stabbed on head at home

YOUNGSTOWN — A woman refused medical attention after calling 911, saying a juvenile boy in her home stabbed her on the top of her head, causing apparent minor injuries. The report does not clarify the relationship between the boy and the woman.

A Youngstown police report states that officers were called to Meadowbrook Avenue and spoke with the woman, who said she and the boy were arguing over something on the social media site TikTok. She said the boy picked up a knife and stabbed her in the head.

An officer asked the boy why he would do that and he answered that it was because she made him mad. He then yelled at her, calling her a vulgar name, and then yelled at two police officers, the report states.

An officer put the boy in the back of a police cruiser and then took him to the Mahoning County Juvenile Justice Center on a charge of misdemeanor domestic violence.

The report noted that the boy has a child, but because of the information being redacted from the report under Marsy’s Law, which protects victims, it was difficult to tell why the baby was taken to another home, other than that the baby lived at another home.

The victim “declined medical help even though she had a slight cut on the top of her head, hard to see underneath her hair,” the report states. Police took the knife into evidence.
