The National Weather service has issued a cold weather advisory and a winter storm watch for the Mahoning Valley.

• The cold weather advisory remains in effect from 6 a.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday. Very cold wind chills as low as 15 below zero are forecast. The conditions could result in frostbite and hypothermia if precautions aren’t taken.

• The winter storm watch is in effect from Saturday evening through Monday afternoon. Total snow accumulations of 6 inches or more. Persons should consider delaying all travel, the NWS advises.
