WHAT: Board of education meeting Tuesday

PRESENT: Gary Bednarik, Beth Donofrio, Judy Gozur and Tony Kelly.

ABSENT: Tina Tsagaris

The board:

•Approved minutes from the December meeting and the Jan. 7 organizational meeting.

•Approved financial reports and payment of bills as presented in the treasurer’s report.

•Accepted the following donations: $1,720 from various donors for the junior varsity and varsity cheerleaders; turkeys for holiday dinners valued at $574.35; sides and rolls valued at $500 from the Philoptochos Society at Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church; pies for holiday dinners valued at $400 from Steel City Contractors, LLC; two pans of rice and one pan of pork valued at $250 from Vicky DeJesus for Campbell athletics; new hats, gloves and scarves with an unknown value from Heritage Presbyterian Church for Campbell Elementary and Middle School; and $62.45 from an anonymous donor for the Class of 2026.

•Approved the following agreements: A consulting agreement with KO Consulting, LLC for purposes of business planning, financial projections, grant research, applications and reporting, client meetings, government filings, marketing and document services; an agreement with Ricoh for the renewal of a technology repair contract; a three-year agreement with ACCESS for digital transport services and internet services from July 1 to June 30, 2029; and a software license agreement with Edge Software Solutions, LLC to be used for accounts payable, payroll and purchase orders.

•Made the following appointments: Linda Dattilo to the classified position of cook’s helper at $13.54 per hour; Niki Koullias to the certified position of after-school teacher at $26 per hour; and Kam Henley to the position of girls Flag Football Club leader at $15 per hour.

•Terminated the following supplemental contracts: assistant high school football coaches Luke Blasko, William Mixon, Cody Reese, Nicholas Shiley and Alexander Valentin; assistant middle school football coach Benjamin Santiago; equipment managers David Moore and Adyn Vazquez; head soccer coach Dallan Patterson; assistant soccer coach Ariel Dimas; junior varsity soccer coach Miguel Gonzalez; assistant volleyball coach Jaclyn Erwin; junior varsity volleyball coach Paige Reed; dance line Instructor Shardae Smith Hurt; and color guard Instructor Susan Viars.

•Approved upcoming leaves for the following staff members: James Goske for an interview workshop for students through the Educational Service Center of Eastern Ohio on Tuesday; Alaina Rauber for an Empowering Teams meeting through ESCEO on Feb. 2; Jane Buckingham for a Women’s Leadership Conference in Columbus Feb. 3 and 4; James Goske for an Ohio school-based health care conference in Columbus on Feb. 5, a community learning center visit in Cincinnati Feb. 19 and 20; and GRIT Days of Learning Conference in Marietta Feb. 26 and 27; and Maggie Bork and Melinda Fitzhenry for the Mahoning Festival of Bands at Hubbard High School on March 6.

•Approved out-of-state travel to Camp Fitch in North Springfield, Pa. for the Outdoor Educational Adventure for fifth graders Feb. 4-6.

•Approved the 2026-27 school calendar.

•Accepted the retirement of Nadyne Stallsmith from the certified position of STEM / technology teacher at the Northeast Ohio Impact Academy effective July 1.
