YOUNGSTOWN — CityScape has announced the winners of its 19th annual Youngstown CityScape Beautification Awards in four categories: business, institutional, community and residential.

The awards were presented at a ceremony and reception on Thursday at Concept Studio, 217 W. Federal St.

Winners in the business category were:

• Mechelle Bennett, RHM Real Estate Group

• Melanie Clarke-Penella, Blue Heron Treasure Shop

• James Washington, J.E. Washington Funeral Services

Winners in the institutional category were:

• Anthony Winterburn, St. Brendan Church

• Paul Garchar, Potential Development

The winner in the community category was the City of Youngstown Parks and Recreation Department / Clemate Franklin for Lynn Park.

Winners in the residential category were:

According to Youngstown CityScape Executive Director Sharon Letson, “The awards are a way for the community to join together and say ‘thank you’ to those who are committed to making a difference and helping improve and beautify Youngstown. CityScape’s goal is to highlight the positive energy and effort that contributes to the city’s appearance, which in turn inspires others to do the same.”
