Trumbull County seeks input on transportation needs
Staff report
WARREN — The Eastgate Regional Council of Governments, in partnership with RLS & Associates Inc., has launched a survey to assess the transportation needs of Trumbull County residents.
The initiative seeks to understand how residents travel to essential destinations, the obstacles they face and potential improvements to local transportation services. The anonymous survey, which takes approximately 10 minutes to complete, asks residents about their travel habits for work, school, medical appointments, shopping and social activities.
It includes questions about the frequency of public transit use, reliance on services like Uber or Lyft and barriers such as cost, accessibility or scheduling issues.
Specific questions address the needs of individuals with disabilities, the impact of transportation challenges on daily life and desired improvements, such as expanded bus routes or more accessible vehicles.
Responses will inform a regional community transportation assessment to enhance services across Trumbull County, including cities like Warren, Niles and Girard, and townships such as Howland and Liberty.
