The signage atop the iconic former Home Savings and Loan Co. and former Premier Bank building on West Federal Street in downtown Youngstown changed last week.

That was thanks to a crane that reached all the way to the top of the iconic structure.

The name and signage change came as WesBanco acquired Premier Financial Corp.

The name changed from Home Savings and Loan to Premier in 2020, resulting in the signage changing then also.

The original clock tower, a key part of the Youngstown skyline, was constructed in 1919.
