YOUNGSTOWN — The Mahoning County Coroner’s Office has identified the man who died in a Jan. 10 two-car crash on Interstate 680 near Williamson Avenue on the South Side as Shawn Carlson, 36.

He was the driver of one of the two vehicles. The crash remains under investigation by the Youngstown Police Department and coroner’s office, according to a coroner’s press release.

The driver of the other vehicle was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital and was listed in stable condition in the hours after the crash, which happened just before 1:30 a.m.
