YOUNGSTOWN — Police are investigating a Saturday afternoon shooting on North Bon Air Avenue on the West Side that injured a man. The episode is being classified as a felonious assault.

A Youngstown police report states that they were called at 5:35 p.m. for a shooting and found a man, 20, with an apparent gunshot wound to his abdomen.

He was taken by ambulance to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital for treatment.

Several victims were listed in the report, but all of their identifying information was blacked out under requirements of Marsy’s Law, the state’s new victim privacy law.

More specific information regarding the location of the shooting also was blacked out to protect the personal information about the victim or victims.
