Man, 38, indicted in golf course break-in

YOUNGSTOWN — Brandon M. Welz, 38, of North Park Road in West Farmington, has been indicted on two counts of breaking and entering and single counts of safecracking, attempted safecracking, possessing criminal tools and obstructing official business for allegedly breaking into the pro shop and bar at the Reserve Run Golf Course in Beaver Township in June and again in September.

Welz has been in the Mahoning County jail since Sept. 16, according to jail records.

Welz was sentenced to 15 months in prison in April 2020 in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court for breaking into the Yankee Kitchen restaurant in Vienna and a building at Yankee Run Golf Course in Brookfield.

He pleaded guilty to two counts of breaking and entering and two counts of theft in the Trumbull County case.

Also indicted Thursday by a Mahoning County grand jury are:

• Eugene Y. Frazier, 39, Lawrence County jail, New Castle, Pa., cocaine possession with a specification of forfeiture of money in a drug case, fentanyl-related compound possession with a specification of forfeiture of money in a drug case; illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia with a specification of forfeiture of money in a drug case and marijuana possession with a specification of forfeiture of money in a drug case.

• Shawn M. Villers Jr., 18, Stanford Ave, Austintown, tampering with evidence, carrying a concealed weapon, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle and obstructing official business with a firearm specification.

• Ke’Vion D. Bradley, 24, Mahoning County jail, having weapons while not allowed, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property and falsification.
