Burton soundstage planned
BURTON — A groundbreaking ceremony is planned at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Burton for what will be the largest soundstage for film, television, video and commercial production in northeast Ohio.
The 10,175-square-foot facility will be created in the former Berkshire High School building at 14510 N. Cheshire St. When the project is completed, it will offer production companies a site where they can shoot, edit and finish projects under one roof.
It will include northeast Ohio’s largest soundstages; a full array of pre- and post-production services; ready-to-shoot school, hospital and courtroom sets; photography studios; food service and lodging for crews on-site. It is designed to be a magnet for productions of all types and sizes and contribute to a sustainable film industry in Ohio.
