Police activity reported May 9-21:

May 21 — Matthew Drake, 19, 3724 Wilning Road, New Castle, Pa., was arrested on two counts of drug abuse and Paul Ward, 37, 2753-1/2 Mercer Road, New Castle, Pa., was issued a summons for possession of drug paraphernalia, following a traffic stop on West Main Street.

May 20 — Ethan Shaw, 20, 7510 Lydia Lane, Canfield, was arrested on charges of underage alcohol possession, operating a vehicle while impaired, driving while under suspension, and was cited for speeding (57 mph in a 35 mph zone), following a traffic stop on Youngstown-Salem Road.

May 20 — Danny Hall Jr., 21, 333 North 12th St., Coshocton, was issued a summons for drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia, and was cited for speeding (52 mph in a 35 mph zone), following a traffic stop on West Main Street.

May 18 — Ian Sowa, 43, 208 Smith Ave., Sharon, Pa., was issued a summons for drug abuse, driving while under suspension and was cited for a traffic control device, following a traffic stop on East Main Street.

May 18 — A 17-year-old Canfield girl was referred to the Juvenile Justice Center for drug abuse (THC cartridge) and drug paraphernalia (Dab pen), following an investigation at Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road.

May 18 — Hannah Michalak, 26, 11140 Youngstown-Pittsburgh Road, New Middletown, was issued a summons for drug abuse (marijuana), following a traffic stop on West Main Street.

May 15 — A 17-year-old Canfield boy was referred to the Juvenile Justice Center for drug abuse (THC Vape Pen) following a traffic stop on East Main Street.

May 15 — Melina Brown, 58, 71 Hilltop Blvd., Canfield, was arrested on a charge of theft after a report of a missing Chromebook.

May 13 — Hailey Morris, 22, 745 Caledonia St., Youngstown, was issued a summons for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia and was cited for no operator’s license, following a traffic stop on West Main Street.

May 12 — Louis Slepski III, 41, 152 Matthews Road, Boardman, was arrested on a charge of operating a vehicle while impaired and on an undisclosed Columbiana County warrant, and was cited for driving while under suspension and a marked lanes violation, following a traffic stop on Village Boulevard.

May 11 — Hailey Morris, 22, 745 Caledonia St., Youngstown, was issued a summons on a charge of possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia and was cited for no operator’s license and following too close, and Anthony Scott, 36, of the same address, was issued a summons on a charge of driving while under suspension, following a traffic stop on Fairground Boulevard on a vehicle attempting to evade officers and with a man and woman changing positions in the front seat.

May 11 — Brian Prevost, 45, 235 Deer Trail Ave., Canfield, was issued a summons on a charge of drug abuse (marijuana) following a traffic stop on Brookpark Road.

May 9 — A 16-year-old New Middletown girl was referred to the Juvenile Justice Center for underage possession of a tobacco product following an investigation at Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road.
