Jail inmate found unresponsive

WARREN — The Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an inmate who was found unresponsive in the jail about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. The matter appears to be an attempted suicide, according to a news release.

The inmate was located in his cell by jail staff as they were conducting security rounds. The staff administered lifesaving measures until an ambulance arrived, according to Maj. Daniel Mason, jail administrator.

The male inmate, 36, was taken to Trumbull Regional Medical Center where he remains for treatment, the report states.
