WHAT: Trumbull County Educational Service Center governing board meeting Monday
PRESENT: Denise Domhoff, Deborah Patchin, Carol Young, Laura Rubesich and Tom Krispinsky
The board:
• Received a $45,487 grant from Career Workforce Pathway from Youngstown State University. The money will be used for the Career Navigator program to prepare middle school students for career pathway planning.
• Approved contracts for career navigator services for Hubbard, Joseph Badger, Mathews and McDonald schools effective March 1, 2026.
• Approved Skyler O’Donnell as career navigator on a one-year contract effective Aug. 1. Seven school districts are part of the career navigator program.
• Approved the reduction in force of an adaptive physical education position by reducing the days from 184 to 160 days for the 2026-27 year.
• Hired Julia Williams as school psychologist at $53,935 on a one-year contract.
• Approved an agreement for technology services for McDonald schools.
• Approved an agreement with Erich Merkle for Summer of Growth presentation for teacher and administrative training.
• Approved a one-year agreement with On Demand for bus driver physicals effective June 1.
• Approved the purchase of $15 Amazon gift vouchers for the 280 members of the center’s staff for promotion of education and enhancement of morale.
• Approved Justin Metheny as a technician systems and Rodney Ramer and Jeff Studer as technology coordinators each on a 216-day contract.
