Police investigate South Side hit-skip
Staff report
YOUNGSTOWN — Police are investigating a hit-skip crash that occurred after 6 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Hudson Avenue and Clearmont Street on the South Side.
A report states that a white mini-van with paneled windows had crashed into a split-rail fence. A neighbor in the 3400 block of Hudson had videoed the incident and said he believes the crash was intentional and “an act of vandalism.”
The man told the newspaper that the driver of the minivan intentionally tried to cut across the open lot that was owned by the nearby Martin Luther Lutheran Church. The driver took off after crashing the fence.
