YOUNGSTOWN — Canfield-based Gem-Young Insurance and Wealth Advisors has acquired Barnett Insurance Agency in Alliance. Both are locally owned independent agencies run by a second- and a third-generation family in the insurance business. The acquisition allows Gem-Young to expand geographically, giving the company the opportunity to grow its base of clients, Leo Daprile Sr., CEO of Gem-Young, said. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
