Teen stands behind his produce

AUSTINTOWN — For the second summer, Ethan Williams, 14, of Austintown, is working hard and making money with his produce stand, Ethan’s Farmers Market.
Ethan started the enterprise because his grandparents had a farm stand. He realized he could make money selling produce, and he enjoys it, he said.
Tuesday, Ethan was set up at a usual spot in the parking lot of Manor restaurant in Austintown, on the corner of state Route 46 and Kirk Road, selling corn, onions, peppers, tomatoes, squash and cucumbers. He grows around 80 percent of what he sells, he said.
Ethan sells at the corner of Route 46 and Kirk as often as he can and also sells produce outside his Collins Avenue home and at the Austintown Farmers Market from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays in Austintown Township Park.
A rising freshman at Austintown Fitch High School, Ethan is saving to buy a truck.
