Poland’s Main Street recognized

POLAND — The Poland Historical Society recently acquired a new historical marker for the South Main Street Historic District.

This district was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

A brief dedication / unveiling of the marker happened last week with about 60 area residents at the Poland Presbyterian Church, 2 Poland Manor.

Following the dedication, Poland Historical Society members provided a guided walking tour along South Main Street to Peterson Park and back to the Presbyterian church.
