Austintown man indicted on 7 rape counts
YOUNGSTOWN — A Mahoning County grand jury has indicted Glenn C. Lambert, 58, of Woodland Trace, Austintown, on seven counts of rape, four counts of gross sexual imposition and two counts of compelling prostitution.
The rape counts allege he sexually assaulted two underage females in Austintown in recent years. Four of the rape counts carry a possible life prison sentence if convicted.
The two counts of compelling prostitution allege he compelled two women to have sex with him in exchange for money and drugs.
Lambert is not currently in police custody.
The grand jury also indicted Robert A. Manigault, 25, of North Bon Air Avenue, on drug and other charges after police say they chased him and captured him in a residential garbage can in late December.
Manigault is indicted on cocaine possession with a specification of forfeiture of money in a drug case; escape; grand theft of a motor vehicle; aggravated drug possession with a specification of forfeiture of money in a drug case; and obstructing official business.
Police were called to a Glenwood Avenue store regarding a stolen car. They found a city man yelling at three unknown men standing near a vehicle, the report states.
The men got into the vehicle and fled on Glenwood with police following with lights and siren. The vehicle crashed into the front porch of a house of a home in the 300 block of Ravenwood Avenue, and another nearby house.
The three men fled on foot toward Ferndale Avenue. An officer found Manigault in a Youngstown garbage can and arrested him. They found a large bag of suspected cocaine, three pills and other possible drugs in Manigault’s possession, a police report states.
The grand jury also indicted:
l John F. Kukura, 38, Brookfield Avenue, importuning, attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and possessing criminal tools;
l Jason J. Walker, 39, Ninth Street, Salem, importuning, attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, possessing criminal tools and resisting arrest;
l Youssef Jabaly, 27, of Sylvania, importuning, attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and possessing criminal tools;
l Nathan Lucas, 27, Madison Street, Hermitage, attempted rape, compelling prostitution, importuning and possessing criminal tools;
l John M. Harmocy, 38, Ohltown McDonald Road, Mineral Ridge, importuning, attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and possessing criminal tools;
l Victor A. Nixon, 21, East Florida Avenue, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle;
l Kevin R. Myers Jr., 18, East Florida Avenue, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle;
l Trisha M. Thompson, 35, Mahoning County jail, violating a protection order;
l Latoya M. Martin, 37, Mahoning County jail, illegal use of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits or WIC program benefits, two counts of receiving stolen property, falsification, obstructing official business, illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia and disoderly conduct;
l Brian J. James, 40, Himrod Avenue, felony operating a motor vehicle under the influence;
l Scott A. Bierig, 41, Newton Falls Road, Ravenna, failure to provide notice of change of address and failure to verify address.
