Police activity reported Oct. 1-4:
Oct. 4, 2:36 p.m. — Following a call to 48 Water St. regarding a sick or injured deer, the animal was located, was determined to be ill and was shot by officers.
Oct. 3, 11:08 p.m. — Following a traffic stop on U.S. 224, Nichole Y. Patterson, 33, 229 N. Center St., Youngstown, was arrested on a Boardman Court warrant for theft.
5:38 a.m. — Following a call to 63 Poland Manor regarding a deer stuck on a fence, the deer was discovered hanging severely injured on the side fence and was shot by officers.
5:09 a.m. — A security check was performed at McKinley Elementary School, 7 Elm St. after a door was found ajar.
3:34 a.m. — A security check was performed at Poland Middle School, 47 College St. after a door was found to be unsecured.
Oct. 2, 8:40 a.m. — Following a traffic stop on U.S. Route 224, Michael P. White, 26, 2912 Hudson Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on a Columbiana County warrant for three counts of receiving stolen property.
Oct. 1, 9:12 p.m. — A security check was conducted following a vestibule motion alarm at the Poland Public Library, 311 S. Main St.
12:13 a.m. — Following a call to 48 Edgewater Drive regarding damage done to a Joe Biden political sign, two teenage boys were located and turned over to their parents with no charges filed.
