No one hurt as crew responds to house fire behind Boardman Plaza

BOARDMAN — Boardman Township fire crews were called out Sunday afternoon to a house fire in the 7000 block of Sugartree Drive, behind the Boardman Plaza.

Reports indicate crews were called out before 6 p.m. to the fire, which officials believe started at the back of the house where two rooms were heavily damaged. A spokesman said they were able to put out the fire quickly.

Two people and their dog were able to get out of the home safely, officials said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
