Man charged with poking woman
YOUNGSTOWN — Robin D. Lawrence, 56, of the 100 block of West Warren Avenue was arraigned Monday in Youngstown Municipal Court on felonious assault, accused of poking a woman in the chest with a knife early Monday at his home.
Police said a woman, 40, of Washington Boulevard in Boardman, reported being injured during a fight with Lawrence at 12:40 a.m.
She said she awoke and discovered some of her money was missing, so she accused Lawrence of taking it. During the altercation that followed, Lawrence pulled out a knife and “jabbed” her with it several times while telling her to get out. Police said her wound was not serious. Officers observed a “nearly superficial puncture wound on her chest.”
The woman was taken by ambulance to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. Bond for Lawrence was set at $15,000.
