WHAT: Board of Education organizational meeting Thursday

PRESENT: Rocky Adams, Donald Newell, Amanda O’Neill, William Cummings and Tony Pantone Jr.

The board:

• Named Adams as president and Newell as vice president for 2020;

• Set meetings for 6 p.m. the fourth Monday of the month at board meeting room;

• Approved Superintendent Raymond Soloman to serve as the board’s hearing officer in suspensions for bus misconduct, student code violation and student attendance appeals;

• Entered into an agreement with the Ohio School Boards Association for legal assistance fund service for 2020 at a cost of $250.
