WHAT: County commissioners meeting Friday

Commissioners:

• Approved a $1,145 agreement with Ohio Automobile Club to set up an exhibit at the AAA Great Vacations Travel Expo;

• Entered agreements with Hill International Trucks for repairs to two engineer’s office vehicles for about $10,600;

• Approved an $8,840 agreement with The Village Network to provide case management services to the juvenile justice detention center;

• Entered into agreements with Gary M. Crim Inc. for lead mitigation work at 70 Oxford St., Campbell, and 262 Robinson Road, Campbell, for about $17,400;

• Entered into an agreement for $671 with Greenwood Chevrolet for repairs to a sheriff’s vehicle;

• Added $995 in more security system equipment to the contract with SOS Security Systems Inc. for security upgrades at Mahoning County Area Courts-Canfield Court;

• Added $34,778 to the contract with Marucci & Gaffney Excavating Inc. for work on the Western Reserve Road Roundabout Project, for utility delay, force accounts and quantity adjustments; and for $54,332 more to accelerate the project and finish it before inclement weather;

• Recorded bids from the Bandy Road Trailstar Road Improvement Project and the Courtney Road Emergency Repairs Project;

• Accepted a $30,376 grant from the state’s 2020 Local Emergency Planning Committee grant;

• Approved payments of $213 to TSI and $380 to Buckeye Tech for emergency circuit and network services provided during the installation of new 911 systems in the Boardman location;

• Approved a $517 payment to Cornerstone Electrical Inc. for traffic control equipment, as requested by the engineer’s office.

Commissioners:

• Announced the advertisement of bids for paper recycling and polymer for the Mahoning County Metropolitan Sewer District wastewater treatment plants;

• Entered into a $6,887 a year agreement with SOS Security Systems for a fire alarm system and related services for Sebring Court;

• Approved an agreement with AT&T Hosted Vesta for a remote command post 911 position housed in the Mahoning County Emergency Management Agency Building for $1,000 per month;

• Entered agreements with American Pinnacle Construction lead hazard control work at 848 Woodside Ave. for $13,650 and 4236 Helena Ave. for $11,950;

• Entered an agreement with Lake County Sewer Co. for $43,000 for emergency services to remove excess heavy debris from interceptor sewers in easements, including on Water Street in Poland, as part of the Poland Sanitary Sewer Interceptor Rehabilitation Improvement project;

• Approved a $1,550 contract with AllMax Software Inc. for wastewater data management software;

• Entered into a $6,315 agreement with Boak & Sons Inc. for roof replacement at sewage pumping stations in Boardman, North Jackson, Campbell and North Lima;

• Approved a $43,565 change order in the contract with Insituform Technologies LLC for the Poland interceptor sewer project;

• Approved the closure from Sept. 9-14 of a section of Garfield Road between Seacrist Road and South Duck Creek Road;

• Approved the appointment of outside counsel of Mazanec, Raskin and Ryder Co. for the additional amount of $25,000;

• Approved a $1,700 payment to A&A Reporting and Transcription Services for transcription services related to the New Middletown state Route 170 pump station and force main replacement improvement.
