YOUNGSTOWN — A woman with a gunshot wound was found at 3 a.m. Tuesday in a car in the 600 block of St. Louis Avenue on the South Side.

A Youngstown police news release states that officers were sent to the 1000 block of Glenwood Avenue, which led to officers finding the woman in the 600 block of St. Louis Avenue. She was in a vehicle with an apparent gunshot wound, the report states.

She was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital for treatment. Detectives and crime scene investigators were called to the scene to investigate.

The condition of the woman was not provided.
