Canfield Fair fills grandstand need with Lady A
Lady A will be one of the grandstand attractions for the 2025 Canfield Fair on Aug. 31.
It’s an early announcement for the grandstand. Brantley Gilbert, 2024’s country headliner, didn’t go on sale until April. The other grandstand concert, a rock triple bill topped by Daughtry, was announced two months before the performance by promoter JAC Live.
According to George Roman, director in charge of entertainment at the fair, “The fair board is very excited to once again partner with JAC Live to bring top quality entertainment to our fairgrounds. The fact that we can make this announcement so early and allow our fairgoers time to plan their summer is great.”
JAC LIVE Chief Operating Officer Ken Bigley is quoted in the press release announcing the show, “We are elated to continue the amazing partnership with the Canfield Fair in announcing this long-standing, Grammy-winning group to play in the Valley for the first time ever.”
Hillary Scott, Dave Haywood and Charles Kelley, originally known as Lady Antebellum, have been together since 2006.
Since the release of its debut album in 2008, the trio has had 10 number one country hits, most notably “Need You Now,” which won Grammy Awards for song and record of the year and propelled the album of the same name to quadruple platinum sales in the U.S.
In its career, Lady A’s songs have been streamed more than 5 billion times. It won vocal group of the year from both the ACM and CMA three years in a row, and its trophy case includes seven Grammys along with Billboard Music, People’s Choice and Teen Choice awards.
Tickets range from $39.50 to $125 and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through Ticketmaster. A Canfield Fair presale starts at 10 a.m. Thursday with the password ROOSTER, and there also will be a venue presale starting Thursday with the password JACLIVE.
Tickets only will be available initially through Ticketmaster. Sales at the Canfield Fair box office won’t start until later next summer.
