YOUNGSTOWN — The driver of a car that apparently went through the intersection of Belle Vista Avenue and Salt Springs Road on the West Side, through a parking lot and into the side of a house on Salt Springs Road, Wednesday night died.

The Youngstown Police Department confirmed the death this morning, as the owner of the house and city officials looked over the extensive damage and made plans for demolition of the home.

The occupant of the home was not home at the time.
