YOUNGSTOWN — Comedian Eddie Griffin will perform Sept. 1 at Powers Auditorium in Youngstown.

Griffin has recorded stand-up specials for HBO, Comedy Central and Showtime in a career that started in 1990, and Comedy Central named him one of the 100 greatest stand-up comedians of all time.

As an actor, Griffin has appeared in more than 50 films, including “The Last Boy Scout,” “Armageddon,” “Undercover Brother” and “John Q.” He won an NAACP Image Award for his television series “Malcolm and Eddie.”
