Family perishes in Greenville fire

GREENVILLE, Pa. — Three family members perished in a fire this morning fire at a Greenville home.

Mercer County Coroner John Libonati identified the victims as Diana Mayes-Britton, 35, and her 11-year-old twin children, Olivia Mayes and Jonathan Mayes.

Libonati said the three were found together in the bedroom of the home as they were trying to escape the flames in the 400 block of South Main Street.

The fire started about 6 a.m. today, the report states. The Mercer County 911 Center later reported the fire had been extinguished at the two-story structure.

Another person was rescued from the blaze and was hospitalized with injuries.
