YOUNGSTOWN – City firefighters are on the scene of a fire at Ward Beecher Hall at Youngstown State University.

The fire was extinguished about 1:30 p.m. today, but firefighters remain on the scene. There is no word on cause or any injuries.

The building will be closed until further notice, according to a notice sent out via the university’s emergency alert system.
