Youngstown man indicted on sex offenses

YOUNGSTOWN – Charles E. Teague, 55, of Stratmore Avenue in Youngstown was indicted this week in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court on two counts of rape, two counts of gross sexual imposition and two counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

The offenses are alleged to have taken place in Mahoning County between 2003 and 2010, according to his indictments. His case was directly presented to a Mahoning County grand jury, meaning it did not go through a lower court.

His indictments accuse Teague of raping a child between 2005 and 2007 when the child was about 12 years old, committing gross sexual imposition against the child from 2003 to 2007 and committing unlawful sexual conduct with a minor involving the child from 2007 to 2010.

If convicted on the rapes, Teague could get a life prison sentence. The four other charges could result in prison sentences of several years each if convicted.

Teague is likely to be arraigned in the next couple of weeks.
