AUSTINTOWN — The man who is accused of stealing three Razor electric scooters, worth $414, from the Walmart on Mahoning Avenue on has been identified as James Gordon Williams, 47, of Youngstown, according to the police report.

Loss prevention at the store informed the police of a man on Nov. 20 around 2 p.m. who, after spending time in the store, approached the pharmacy doors without paying for the merchandise.

The report says he kept on walking out the door despite being asked for a receipt, and entered a white Ford Escape being driven by another person. Store security identified Williams in the parking lot via surveillence footage and obtained a photo.

Williams was previously held in the Trumbull County Jail on a theft charge before being released on Dec. 4, records show.
