Wed. 9:09 a.m.: Children injured in U.S. Route 422 accident

SOUTHINGTON — The Ohio State Highway Patrol ins investigating a single-car crash that injured six people — including four children — overnight on U.S. Route 422.

The 2005 Chevrolet Impala driven by Elijah Taylor, 25, of Cleveland drove of the left side of an eastbound lane into the median before rolling over, the patrol report states.

Taylor received minor injuries in the 1:45 a.m. crash, while the front-seat passenger, Christine Taylor, 43, of Warren, was also injured. All four children in the back seat, ages 1 through 9, were taken to Trumbull Regional Medical Center in Warren, with one child transferred to the Cleveland Pediatric Center and another to Akron Children’s Hospital for further treatment.

No update of the children’s injuries was provided.
