Tue. 7:52 p.m.: Brown holds big lead in early voting in mayor’s race
YOUNGSTOWN — Youngstown Mayor Jamael Tito Brown has a big lead among early voters in the Democratic primary for his seat.
Among absentee ballots counted, Brown leads with 1,410 votes, 65.61 percent, with Ryan Kelly in second with 482 votes, 22.43 percent, and Councilman Julius Oliver, D-1st, is last with 257 votes, 11.96 percent.
There is no breakdown among the three candidates running as write-ins for Youngstown council president. The Mahoning County Board of Elections only lists 1,038 early votes for write-ins.
