WARREN — The defense in the rape trial of a 41-year-old Liberty man offered no evidence and called no witnesses this morning before attorneys for both sides presented closing arguments to the jury.

The team for defendant Theodore J. Fecko III reiterated to the jury that no DNA evidence was presented to support accusations that Fecko digitally raped a 12-year-old girl the Ray Court home of his mother on July 23, 2020.

Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Judge Ronald J. Rice is about to give members of the jury final instructions before handing the case over to them to deliberate.

If found guilty, Fecko could get a life prison sentence.
