CAMPBELL — A shooting Wednesday at a funeral in Campbell is under investigation.

According to the Campbell Police Department, a call was received at about 12:15 p.m. for shots fired toward a car during a funeral at Jerusalem Baptist Church on Wilson Avenue.

A witness told police a vehicle pulled into the parking lot and shots were fired, then fled the area. Fourteen spent founds of a .45 caliber gun were recovered by investigators.

On Wednesday, the department said it could not release the type of suspect vehicle, due to its investigation. It’s not yet known if there is a connection between anyone in the funeral and the shooter.
