Youngstown police trying to identify robbery suspect

YOUNGSTOWN – The Youngstown Police Department is trying to identify the man in this photo in connection to a robbery that took place Monday evening.

Anyone who recognizes the person can call anonymously 330-746-CLUE or the detective bureau tip line at 330-742-8973.

The robbery was reported by a man who said a car stopped in front of him at the intersection of Rush Boulevard and Hilton Avenue on the South Side at about 5 p.m. A man got out of the car and into the passenger seat of his car.

The man kept his hand in his pocket as if he had a gun and ordered the victim to drive to an ATM machine on South Avenue, where the victim and the suspect went inside, and the victim withdrew $60 and gave it to the suspect.

The suspect and the driver of the other car then left together, police said.
