CLEVELAND — The FBI arrested a Warren man this morning on charges that he was one of the people who stormed the U.S. Capitol during violent protest Jan. 6 in Washington, D.C.

Stephen M. Ayres, 38, of Warren, was charged with obstruction of justice / congress, unlawful entry into restricted buildings or grounds, and violent entry or disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.

Ayers initial appearance is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. today and the matter will be prosecuted out of the District of Columbia.

Agents said they have video evidence, including of Ayers recounting his act on social media.
