2 p.m. daily update: 15 COVID-19 fatalities in Ohio, 3 in Mahoning Valley

COLUMBUS — There are 15 COVID-19 deaths in Ohio, including one each in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties, the Ohio Department of Health reported today in its 2 p.m. daily update.

There were 10 confirmed deaths Wednesday with none in the Mahoning Valley.

In addition to the three Valley deaths, others are two each in Cuyahoga, Miami, Lucas, Stark and Franklin counties and one each in Erie and Gallia counties.

Also, there are 867 confirmed cases in the state today, up from 704 Wednesday.

There are 51 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Mahoning County today, up from 42 Wednesday.

There are 12 confirmed cases in Trumbull County, up from nine a day earlier.

In Columbiana County, there are five cases, up from four Wednesday.

Statewide, 223 people have been hospitalized as of today, up from 182 Wednesday.

There are 91 people in intensive-care units with COVID-19, up from 75 a day earlier.
