Mon. 10:21 a.m.: Youngstown man threatens to create ‘blood bath’ at Warren hospital

WARREN — An East Wood Street, Youngstown, resident who threatened to create a blood bath at Trumbull Regional Medical Center this morning is awaiting an afternoon arraignment hearing today before Judge Thomas Gysegem in Warren Municipal Court on charges of criminal trespassing and menacing.

Albert J. Stefek, 48, 261 E. Wood St., Youngstown, is accused of making threats against a doctor and the hospital’s nursing staff after refusing to leave the hospital after being discharged, according to a police report.

When a police officer attempted to remove Stefek from the hospital at about 5 a.m., he stated he was not leaving and the officer would have to arrest him, according to the report.

Stefek then told the officer if he was removed from the property he would return and create a “blood bath” in the emergency room and he would kill the doctor that had treated him, according to the police report.

He was charged with the two misdemeanor counts and taken to Trumbull County Jail, according to Trumbull County Jail records.
