Mahoning Valley shows slow increase in COVID-19 cases
The Mahoning Valley notched nearly 100 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday. Mahoning County leads the pack at 41, Trumbull recording 38 and Columbiana adding 19, according to the Ohio Department of Health. Ohio ended the week with more new COVID-19 cases reported than it had in six months at 16,865. The state added 2,460 cases on Saturday, extending its streak of more than 1,000 newly reported cases to 12 straight days, including seven that had more than 2,000 new cases reported.
