The Mahoning County area courts in Boardman, Sebring, Austintown and Canfield are requiring all members of the public and court staff to wear face coverings while working or conducting business in the courthouses, effective today. Social distancing also will be required at the courts. Only children under age 5 are exempted. The judges of the four courts issued a news release regarding the change this morning.
YOUNGSTOWN — The Salvation Army of Mahoning County collected $82,000 from its annual Red Kettle campaign this holiday season, though organizers had hoped for more. Ohio again shattered its record for the most COVID-19 cases per 100,000 residents. And that doesn’t even count those who tested positive with at-home kits and didn’t see a doctor or go to a hospital. It was the third straight week with record high COVID-19 cases per 100,000.
