Speak Up Talk Radio recently announced the winners in the International Firebird Book Awards. “Moving Maggie” by Austintown author Nancy Christie, the third book in her Midlife Moxie Novel Series, was one of the winning entries, placing third in both the Summer Beach Read and Women’s Fiction categories. “I was honored to be among those authors who won awards in this competition,” Christie said. MARINE CORPS REUNION: The Tri-State Detachment Marine Corps League will host its 45th annual Marine Corps League reunion 6 to 10 p.m. Aug. 16 at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. The reunion also will celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States Marine Corps.
