Fitch senior earns perfect ACT score

Austintown Fitch High School senior John Check has earned a perfect score of 36 on the ACT, a distinction achieved by less than 1% of test takers nationwide. John maintains a 3.8 GPA and has consistently challenged himself with a schedule of Honors, Advanced Placement and College Credit Plus courses throughout his high school career. CANFIELD — The Ohio School Psychology Association has named Kimberly Altobelli as the 2025 recipient of the Alex Thomas Ohio School Psychologist of the Year Award. Altobelli serves as a School Psychology Consultant for the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce’s Northeast Region through the Educational Service Center of Eastern Ohio. Art and alumni spirit unite in ‘Spartan Fever’ donation to Boardman High School

BOARDMAN — Artist Kirsten Swanson Bowen, a 1985 graduate of Boardman High School, has donated a painting titled “Spartan Fever” to her alma mater. The work, created in Venetian plaster on canvas as part of her text-based series, features the Boardman Spartan mascot with the lyrics of the school fight song embedded within the texture.
