MOUNT CARMEL FESTIVAL: The 26th annual Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Italian Festival will be Thursday to Sunday at the church grounds, 343 Via Mount Carmel in Youngstown. The festival is 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday, 5 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday. There will be a live auction, food, music, historical area, Little Prince and Princess pageants and a children’s area. Admission is $5, with children 12 and under free. There will be an opening ceremony Thursday with the Man and Woman of the Year named, and Youngstown State University scholarships ...

INSPIRING MINDS MARKETS: This summer, over 300 students in the Mahoning Valley participated in Inspiring Minds’ six-week summer enrichment program. Both the Warren and Youngstown chapters of Inspiring Minds will culminate their programs with annual youth-led summer markets on July 21 in Warren and July 25 in Youngstown. The markets are set for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at 837 Woodland St. NE, Warren, and noon to 2 p.m. July 25 at 2110 South Ave., Youngstown.
