BOARDMAN — Boardman Glenwood Junior High School band and orchestra students earned top marks at the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) District 5 Junior High Solo & Ensemble Adjudicated Event March 28 at Champion High School.

Continuing a tradition of more than 50 years, Glenwood students performed for adjudicators and received ratings based on performance quality. District 5 includes schools from Mahoning, Trumbull and Ashtabula counties.

BAND RESULTS

Glenwood band students earned 11 Superior (“I”) solo ratings and 4 Superior ensemble ratings.

• Superior-rated band soloists include Bridget Brabant, Benjamin Bruno, Sveva Ceccarini, Samia Givens, Addison Hudock, Isaac Koltonski, Fiona Maloney, Kennedy Massey, Victoria May, Jackson Severt and Eli Wilkoff.

• Superior-rated band ensembles include: Duets — Addison Hudock & Emily Wright; and Benjamin Bruno & Eli Wilkoff; Trios — Addison Hudock, Emily Wright & Alivia Brett; Addison Hudock, Kennedy Massey & Louis Schiavoni

ORCHESTRA RESULTS

Glenwood orchestra students earned 21 Superior (“I”) solo ratings and 13 Superior ensemble ratings.

• Superior-rated orchestra soloists include Brenden Baker, Gabriella Ball, Giuliana Ball, Elle Barnes, Logan Bartholomew, Liam DeVore, Jeffrey Dragovich, Jaxton Felix, Maurelius Green, Ana Ifft, Lyric Johnson, Jocelyn Larson, Blake Lewis, Yaqi Lu, Zayden McKinna, Hassan Rizvi, Grady Rowan, Braden Shaw, JJ Stanyard, Syrshitha Yelamanchi and Cecilia Young.

• Superior-rated orchestra ensembles include Duets – Brenden Baker and Zayden McKinna; Gabriella Ball and Giuliana Ball; Yaqi Lu and Tiffany Wang; Jeffrey Dragovich and Grady Rowan; Jeff Phifer and Bryce Helmick; Ana Ifft and Breanna Katcher; and Jocelyn Larson and Sofia Eynon; Ensembles – Gabriella Ball, Cecilia Young, Syrshitha Yelamanchi and Brenden Baker; Jocelyn Larson, Elle Barnes, Breanna Katcher, Ethan Peachock and Grady Rowan; Blake Lewis, Giuliana Ball, Garrett Scarsella, Gia Costas and Jeffrey Dragovich; Jaxton Felix, Ibrahem Mohammed, Addison Dress, Nico Rogers and Alan Riccitelli; Sophia Eynon, Cece Grope, Alexa DeSantos and Aaron Boyer; and Jeff Phifer, Emma O’Grady and Jeffrey Dragovich.
