DOCUMENT SHREDDING: AAA East Central and Shred-It are hosting a free document shredding event 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at AAA’s office at 1275 Boardman-Canfield Road, Boardman. AAA members in the area are invited to bring up to five storage boxes (nonmembers, three boxes) filled with paperwork containing personally identifiable information, including names, birth dates, account numbers, etc., for free on-site shredding. All shredded materials will be recycled.

Items that will be accepted include credit card offers, bank statements, old check books, tax forms and other paperwork, medical records, credit reports, personal records, insurance records and financial statements.

LEGION TO MEET: The Hubbard American Legion Post 51 will have a monthly meeting at 6 p.m. today at the social hall of Hubbard Presbyterian Church, 22 Westview Ave. Mary Seybert of Patriot Hospice will give a briefing on the organization. Refreshments will be provided at the conclusion of the meeting. Parking is in the lower level parking lot of the church.

CHURCH ANNIVERSARY: Mount Sinai Baptist Church, 328 S. Forest St., Youngstown, will mark the church’s 97th anniversary at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Guest speaker is the Rev. Young Tinsley of Kimmelbrook Baptist Church.

CLASSIC CAR SHOW: Abundant Life Fellowship, 46469 state Route 46, New Waterford, will host its annual Classic Car Show 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday in its parking lot. Registration will begin at 3 p.m. for the show, which is sponsored by The Belonging ministry for girls and women. All proceeds will go toward a women’s conference planned Nov. 7-8 at the church. Dash plaques will be available to the first 50 entries. A basket raffle and 50 / 50 raffle will take place. Grill food will be available for purchase.

LIBERTY ’80s REUNION: The Liberty Leopard Alumni Association is hosting a “Decade of the 80’s” class reunion 4 p.m. to dusk Aug. 30 at Churchill Park in Liberty. All LHS alumni graduating between 1980 and 1989 are encouraged to attend. Email libertyleopardalumni@gmail.com for more information.
