Boscov’s seeks nonprofits for annual fundraising sale

Staff report

NILES — Registration for Boscov’s 2025 Friends Helping Friends event is now open.

During this one-day event, Boscov’s offers its biggest sale of the year, with 25% off its lowest sale prices. To access this exclusive event, shoppers donate $5 to a registered participating nonprofit organization.

In return, shoppers receive a Friends Helping Friends Shopping Pass to be used on the day of the event. All of the shopping pass donation stays with the nonprofit.

“We hope to partner with even more local nonprofits this year and surpass last year’s record-setting fundraising results, which helped 3,400 nonprofits raise $3.4 million in donations,” said Jim Boscov, Chairman and CEO. “It’s our most aggressive promotion of the year and we do it to encourage donations to the organizations so critical to the communities we serve.”

Boscov’s operates a store at the Eastwood Mall in Niles. The Friends Helping Friends event is Oct. 22, when the store will be open 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
